~ Blowing Our Horn ~

Reserve Champion

That does not mean he hasn’t been a crowd pleaser and bring home the ribbons.  Shown by his amateur owner, Ted Wenham, Carumba was reserve champion behind the pro’s horse.  Good job guys!

Three Year Old Double Regional Winners!

These two half siblings are by NSH/Pinto/IAHA stallion Key Target, both out of CSS mares.  They went to town and came home with the hardware!

The chestnut mare, now in foal for her first baby for owner Greta & John Dority of Kennewick, Wa., is Key's Moonlight Treasure.  Her barn name is Treasure and she is theirs!  The pinto is out of our champion driving mare, Gato Valiente aka Cat.  He is Lew's Key to the Cat.  Named for our mentor, Lew Cloininger.  It was wonderful to have Lew there when Lewie won!

Reserve Champion Regional Winner

In one crazed moment we all decided to go to Canada.  Two and a half days later, there we were!  What a trip!  What an experience!  What wonderful ribbons!

Our friend Carla Randalman and her Primo son, EA Firestorm aka Sprint, won a reserve championship in open country pleasure driving, plus all the shows qualifying classes!  Good job Carla & Sprint!

Like I said, what a trip!  You need to ask about the weather and Ted's accommodations!  The tales are worth the telling!

Lewie

Here is the unofficial official picture of the Regional Champion Futurity Lew's Key to the Cat!  Doesn't Ted look serious?

LN Primo Palabro with Junior Andy Price

This was Primo's first trail class...Andy's, too.  They did very well until this picture.  The flash startled both of them and they jumped the rest of the bridge.  The kind judge gave them the benefit of the doubt and the photographer a killer look!  To their credit, they placed!

LN Gato Valeinte

LN Antiguo Palabro X Princess Silver
Since she first foaled, "Cat" has been special.  She won her first class at 3 months and never looked back.  She is now retired and we hope she gives more babies (she has two sons: LN Caliente (by Tortuga) & Lew's Key to the Cat (by Key Target)] but the ribbons and the memories are what make her special.  By the way, her name does not mean "valiant" it means "Violent" and there is a story to that as well. For someone so scared to drive, me, Cat has been my teacher, my friend and my heart.
Stop and meet our very special Cat!

Reference sire   DW Kariq with Lew

This picture tells an entire chapter of CSS.

Lew & Kariq!

They won a lot, these two.  The horse with THE MANE and the little old man.  What fun!  Except for that mane!  Three hours every week.....made me weak........
